Fall Out 3 Goes Gold!

Bethesda Softworks announced today that its highly anticipated title, Fallout 3, has gone gold and will be available on store shelves and online in North America on October 28th. Developed at Bethesda Game Studios, Fallout 3 is slated for release on the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system, and Games for Windows. Fallout 3 features one of the most realized game worlds ever created. Set more than 200 years following a nuclear war, you can create any kind of character you want and explore the open wastes of Washington, D.C however you choose. Every minute is a fight for survival as you encounter Super Mutants, Ghouls, Raiders, and other dangers of the Wasteland. Fallout 3’s first review is featured as this month’s cover story in Official Xbox Magazine, hitting subscribers now and on newsstands October 21. Hailed as one of the most anticipated games for 2008, Fallout 3 has already won numerous awards including Best of Show from the official Game Critics Awards at E3 2008, a selection voted on by an independent group of journalists from 36 leading North American media outlets that cover the videogame industry. The original Fall Out was a great game for it's time and Fall Out 2 was one of my favorite games. It seems like it took forever to get a sequel out! The graphics in this game are unreal! You'll need some heavy hardware to run it in all it's glory. I can't wait to play it! :)

Pats deny report they’re upset with Brady

The New England Patriots denied a report Thursday that they were upset with quarterback Tom Brady for opting against the team’s preferred doctors and undergoing surgery on the West Coast. After published reports said Brady needed two more operations to clean out an infection in his knee, ESPN.com, citing a source it did not identify, reported that “the Patriots, as an organization, are upset with the situation because they were clear that they wanted Brady’s surgery done under the direction of doctors of their choosing in Boston.” Later yesterday, the Patriots issued a statement affirming their support for the quarterback who led them to three Super Bowl titles.

“This unsubstantiated report does not represent the team’s views whatsoever,” the statement said. “We have supported Tom Brady one hundred percent from day one of this process and will continue to do so. … Today, we reiterate our total support for Tom as he recovers from his injury.”

Patriots QB Brady has additional surgeries on knee

Doctors are concerned about an infection in Tom Brady’s surgically repaired left knee, and have performed a total of three more procedures to remove it. The New England Patriots’ quarterback had surgery to repair a torn ACL and MCL on October 6 in Los Angeles, and confirmed a second surgery on Wednesday after he developed an infection. Citing an anonymous source, the Boston Herald reported on Wednesday that Brady has had two more procedures since that time. The newspaper reported that doctors fear that the patellar tendon graft used to replace Brady’s ACL is in danger of becoming compromised. In that case, the entire ACL reconstruction would have to be removed and redone from scratch, causing a major setback in his rehab. Brady wrote on his web site, www.tombrady.com that, “The infection is very treatable and, through a course of antibiotics, it will be knocked out of my system.” Brady referred to the second procedure as being “proactive,” on the part of the doctors, and that the results have been positive. Brady is on a course of IV antibiotics, which he will continue for a six-week period, according to the Herald’s source.

Update

I've been so busy I haven't had time to post anything! The fall has been great around here. Been riding the Rails to Trails and hiking up at Rider Park. We went to Pittsburgh last weekeend. The Zoo is fantastic! If you get a chance to see it be sure to. My Pats have been having a mix of success. After the fish blew them out they handled the Niners, but the Chargers sent them back to the drawing board. This past Monday they blew out the Broncos, but lost Rodney Harrison for the rest of the season. That was a tough break and I hated to see him end his playing days on a no contact play. Tom Brady appears to be having a rough go of it. Looks like about 4 operations so far on the knee. In other news I have a Flickr page up now with some of my better photos displayed. I'll post a link to that. That's all for now. Check back for new posts soon!
